Relief Material Distributed to Flood Victims

NIEF has put one of the missions of its organization to help people suffered by natural calamities. Nepal is the country where natural calamities take place in many forms: sometimes by fire, sometimes by landslide, and sometimes by flood. For this reason, NIEF provides relief to flood victims of Fattepur Village. Villagers saved their lives by climbing on the roof tops and many took shelter in police station which was situated at higher ground. But, they didn't get even drinking water for 2 days and didn't get anything to eat. Their crops were destroyed and fields were covered with sand and mud from river and smelly and decaying earthworms. We had to walk for 1 hour continuously on the same fields to reach the venue because the road was damaged. We witnessed wide scale destruction of property and life. Nepal Iqra Educational Foundation was first to reach there with relief, even before Red Cross and the Local Government Administration. Alhamdullilah, we were able to distribute food to more than 400 people.
